I’ve been thinking a lot about travel lately—how it shakes us up in the best ways. How it opens our eyes and shifts our perspective. Whether it’s an epic adventure or a quiet weekend away, travel has a way of sticking with us.
These thoughts have been on my mind as my family and I spend a few weeks tracing cobblestone streets and chasing volcano views in Antigua, Guatemala. It’s beautiful, a little chaotic with two little girls, and something I know we’ll never forget.
If producing legacy films for the last five years has taught me anything, it’s this: there’s no time like the present.
I still think about the couple in their 90s I filmed—retired young, spent years sailing and adventuring all over the world. And the husband who took his wife along for cross-country hauls during his trucking days, turning long miles into shared memories. Or the family that spent every summer camping in our country’s national parks—those trips became the heartbeat of their family story.
Even the simplest getaways—camping trips, road trips, beach days—show up in every single film I’ve made. They’re always a highlight. Always worth remembering.
So if you’re traveling soon, take a few extra photos. Write a few notes. And if you’ve got stories worth saving (spoiler alert: you do), we’d love to help you tell them.
Because the best souvenirs? They’re the stories we carry with us.
